Keeping Up With Spalutions Through Twitter
Isn’t technology great? You can literally get up to the second updates on what people and business are doing through Facebook,
and probably tons of other applications I don’t even know about yet.
From the Twitter FAQ page: “Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent messages. People write short updates, often called "tweets" of 140 characters or fewer. These messages are posted to your profile or your blog, sent to your followers, and are searchable on Twitter search…. Following someone simply means receiving their Twitter updates. When you follow someone, every time they post a new message, it will appear in your Twitter home page. New messages are added to your home page as people post them, so you always get the updates in real time. When you log in, you can see what the latest updates are. Twitter offers other ways to follow people too: you can get updates from certain people on your phone!”
You can update on Twitter as often as you like, but about once a day seems to be the norm. And if you end up wanting to stop someone from being able to follow you – a former employee or co-worker (perhaps a Twitter stalker) then you can block them from receiving your “tweets.”
If you want to stay up to date on what I am doing without getting yet another email in your inbox, you can follow me on Twitter. Here is the link: http://twitter.com/FeliciaBrown
I'll try to keep it relevant, interesting and informative just like my blogs. But if 140 characters isn’t enough for you, then just come back here

I Twitter every morning! Once a day may be the norm for me and you, but every morning when I log in, I notice that some people have apparently spent their entire day twittering--and these are people who supposedly run a business! Some of them seem to update you on their every breath!

I think that uber-repetative level of updates or tweets is a bit ridiculous personally. There are very few people in my life - even out of my closest friends - that I want to get a blow-by-blow account of their day every day. I try to share things that are relevant to my clients or that are actually interesting both here and on Facebook, Linked In and Plaxo. I really hope to inspire people to action or to intrigue them enough to call me when they need help with their business. Maybe I will post a link to this entry as my tweet today - my public service announcement for Twiitter users if you will
