Attitude is Everything for Your Success
"Attitude is everything." Keith Harrell
When I saw this quote heading the article below from The Business Journal, I just had to read more. Keith Harrell is one of the author's whose books and inspirational thought cards I have carried in my business for clients and students. I really like his approach...and attitude...about life. And I think the article below by Terry Brock is totally on target.
"When times are tough, people like to find scapegoats. They want to blame someone else for their problems. "Gas prices are too high." "The economy is to blame." "If only we had different politicians in (pick a location, federal, state, local, etc.)." The list of excuses goes on and on.
However, that doesn't square with reality and what has happened over the centuries. The truth of the matter is that your success is largely up to you and you alone. Sorry, but you can't blame someone else. You have to take control of your own life and make it happen...."

As Terry says, your success and attitude are pretty much up to you. You have the ability each day to get out of bed with a smile on your face (or a frown) and decide how you will approach the events that occur. You get to decide how you will look at your life and relationships and whether or not you want to grow from your mistakes and mishaps. Isn't that great?
The problem many of us have is getting to the point where we know we have a choice in our attitude and thoughts. That even when things are a little rough due to the economy, a bad boss or just a toothache, we can present a sunny attitude to our clients and friends, we can still make the world a better place just by being in it, and through our example of making lemonade out of lemons, we can inspire others around us to do their best as well. Afterall attitude is everything!
