Felicia's Heading to Poland for Spa & Wellness Conference in Poland

Dzien dobry! (Hello!) I am thrilled to announce my upcoming trip to Poland for the upcoming Spa & Wellness Quality Conference on June 24 & 25th, 2008 as a VIP speaker. It is so exciting to be representing the United States and US spa industry at this event! I can't wait to meet the people in the spa industry from Poland, Germany and other surrounding countries and talk with them about how I can come back to the area to do some training or consulting. Here is the conference web site...hope you can read Polish!

The conference will be held at the Hotel Magellan outside of Warsaw. It has a spa and wellness institute on the
property which I am looking forward to checking out in and around my three lectures! Pictures below.

After the conference is over, I will be headed to another Spa hotel, Hotel Malinowy Zdrój which is outside of Krakow, for a few days of relaxation mixed with more professional networking, writing and spa adventures.

I won't be leaving until the 21st, but I would really appreciate any input, insights or recommendations anyone has about Poland related to spas, customs or language. Please feel free to post them or email me at Felicia@spalutions.com. I plan to blog about my experiences over there while I am gone so I can share the fun a little as well as what I learn about the massage and spa businesses.

Dziekuje bardzo. (Thank you very much!) Felicia

You go, girl! It's not polite to refuse the vodka or the polka! Have a fabulous trip and I'll be interested to hear about the therapists you meet there, what kind of education they have, how they practice, and how they market themselves. It'll be great to hear about our counterparts from another culture.

Thanks Laura. I will follow that advice and accept the pirogies that are sent my way as well!

Anyone else have any suggestions for things to do (or not do) or any services that I must try? One of the spas offers a cryo-sauna...that is cold for anyone who hasn't put it together. It is supposed to enhance athletic performance and recovery but I don't know if I can force myself to try it. Brrr! Maybe I'll opt for a hot sauna and Scottish shower...another new one for me
