I read aboout the author of this book twice in 8 days in the Sunday paper. His story struck me and made me stop and think about my own life and quest for living in the moment. Then on the afternoon I read the second article, I stumbled across this book while shopping at Target. Though the book display area was empty, I found a copy practically waiting for me in the greeting card isle. I picked it up and read a quick excerpt about Randy getting stopped by a police officer for speeding. For whatever reason he told the cop that he had cancer and the cop decided not to give him a citation. True to the spirit of the rest of the book and himself, Randy found a way to see the humor and gift in his cancer - it got him out of a speeding ticket! After I read that I had to buy it. And once again I read it from cover to cover in a matter of hours.
