It's Been Awhile~
It seems like forever since I took the time to write in this blog. I apologize for my absence and silence. So where have I been and what have I been doing?
For one thing, I went to the Day Spa Expo in Las Vegas where I was one of the featured speakers. It was a great show and trip for me, although a very tiring one. Between the long travel days, the time change and some packed to the gills days at the conference, I was completely spent when I got home and spent the rest of February paying for it.
Another reason for my absense is the pledge a friend and I made to each other in later January to both work on getting rid of the Top Ten Energy Drains in our lives. Basically, we each write out a list of things that were stealing our attention and energy...essentially distracting us from doing what we really want to be doing in our lives. While I have really enjoyed working on my list, it has been quite an endeavor to get this stuff off my plate.
Want to know what I've been working on? Read on about my list and how I planned to handle getting through the list!
8) follow up with past consulting clients
10) the lock on my car door that doesn't work
I've gotten alot of this stuff partially or completely finished but there is still more to do. The bottom line for me has been that it a) really helped to put these goals in writing and b) was awesome to have a partner to hold me accountable and to act as a cheerleader.
So now, what's on your list of energy drains? I challenge you to do what I did and start crossing them off one by one. You can do it!
