Do You Sell Retail?
Most of the massage therapists I know and many other spa professionals have a hard time selling retail products to their clients. Perhaps they think they will be perceived as being pushy. Or maybe they don't realize that their clients are looking for solutions to their bodycare and relaxation needs. Maybe it is just that they don't feel like they know what to say to their clients about the products they carry. Whatever the case, I just received this little article in a newsletter from Day Spa Magazine about retail selling. Click here to read it.
If you feel like you need more help on the art of selling after you read the article, I also highly recommend any book by Jeffrey Gitomer, especially his Little Red Book of Selling. His style is a little non-traditional, perhaps even brashy at times. But his books are filled with great tips on selling yourself - the key to success in any business endeavor - even if you don't sell retail products. Enjoy!
