New Year's Success

Happy New Year! Hope you had wonderful holidays and a fantastic New Year's!

I'm curious...did you make any resolutions this year? Personally, I don't make resolutions but instead set goals. I feel like a resolution is something that is very black and white, all or nothing, and that if you slip a little bit on your stated changes, you tend to just give up. However with goals I think people tend to realize that achieving them is a process with a few ups and downs, a few steps forward and a few steps back kind of progression. I like that idea...that you don't have to be perfect from the outset but that can give yourself a chance to make a few mistakes here and there and still reach your target.

So what are my goals? Well of course there is the oh-so-popular weight loss goal...only about 10 pounds or so...by my wedding anniversary in June. I feel like that is completely achievable and will allow me to enjoy my lifestyle pretty much as is by making a few changes in portion size and workout frequency.

My other major goal, which actually is number one over everything else is simply to allow myself to reach my full potential, to stop holding myself back from greatness and for being everything I want to be, do or have. I feel like I am really ready to shine my brightest light and to illuminate myself for my own personal and professional success and that of others.

There are a number of other specific tasks and projects I want to complete this year, but they all fall underneath the big one. One that I am getting ready to launch is my new series of teleclasses. The Spalutions! Career Success Teleseminar Series will begin next week and will provide free and tuition-based classes for massage therapists, estheticians, nail technicians, and other spa professionals such as owners, managers and front desk folks. The first class is Ten Secrets for Success as a Massage or Spa Professionaland will be held on January 7th at 11:30 AM EST.

I have to say that if it weren't for some really cool technology I stumbled across I would probably not be ready to do this seminar series. The Marketing Makeover Generator provides a basically fool-proof template for creating marketing materials for e-courses and auto-responders that help you stay in touch with your clients. This used in conjunction with the Instant Teleseminar software have helped me to create a very smooth, professional series of teleclasses. If you have any interest in using either of these products to help improve your own business, just click on the links above to learn more. They'll definitely help you shine your brightest light too!

Again...Happy New Year! Have a wonderful day!

Thanks Robyn! Keep  your eyes open for a new E-Book that I will be releasing in late January or early February entitled "52 Ways to Market Your Spa or Salon - CHEAP!" Also, I am thinking of starting a mentoring group/management course for spa owners. I'll definitely let you know more about that when it comes to fruition. I'd love to hear from others who are interested in being a part of it as well so that I can focus it on your needs, issues and questions. Please feel free to email me at Felicia@spalutions.com with your thoughts and suggestions or just post them in the blog so we can get a discussion going

Hey, Felicia! I am really excited about your teleclasses. The email reminder is great. My goal for 08 is to apply moderation to everything in my life. Happy new year!
