Is there any good customer service out there?

I just read an article about a guy who got revenge on someone who gave him bad customer service...funny and slightly mean revenge...but hopefully an effective message delivery system and training tool as well. I can't say that I blame him (the author) honestly as there have been many times when I wanted to act out against the sales clerk or cashier that had everything better to do than take care of me.

Sadly, this often happens in the spa and salon industry, in fact more often than you would expect. Just today I called a potential client only to hear a bored and unprofessional voice on the other end of the phone. The client had contacted me for help on various aspects of his business...marketing, compensation plans, and a few other things. But oddly enough STAFF TRAINING was not one of them. I sincerely hope that when the client and I have a chance to talk in person, he'll make the smart move and bring me in to work with his sales and reception staff so that the rest of his business can succeed.
