There is no future time or date that is better for you to become who you really are
"There is no future time or date that is better for you to become who you really are." I read this quote today in a book I had left on the shelf for a long time. The book, "Conversations with the Spirit World: Souls who have ended their lives speak,"might seem an unlikely place from which to gain such wisdom, or even an unusual book to own. But as someone who believes that we get what we need to hear, see or learn from all sorts of places, it did not surprise me to stumble across these words as I packed the book up for an Amazon.com order.
One of my greater challenges of late is to just be present. To be in the moment, enjoy the experience I'm having RIGHT NOW, to keep my focus. That is not to say I am a bundle of nerves or even the slightest bit unhappy with my life. I love most everything about my current place in life. And yet, sometimes I still find myself missing out on my current joy, such as sitting on the beach or snuggling with my husband, because I am thinking (or worrying) about the past or future.
So in line with the quote, I am putting my focus onto the present and living my life to the fullest every minute. That doesn't mean I'm skipping things on my "to do" list or only doing things that are "fun." But I am choosing to spend more time with the people I care about and to feel all of my senses every chance I get. When I walk outside to head to lunch in just a moment, I will pay special attention to the warmth of sun on my skin and the gentle breeze that blows through the window. I will take time to take the food I am eating and relish the break I'm taking away from my desk and computer. And I will enjoy the drive where I am heading, not using the time to talk on my phone or...gulp...send any text messages. Besides that, if there is something I really want to do, I will do whatever I can to make it happen.
Furthermore, I am going to be myself, to live the life I was meant to live, and to take steps daily toward my greater dreams and desires. I am also going to continue to encourage others to do the same through my classes, coaching and various products that I choose to carry and create through my business, as well as my personal interactions with them.
If you are interested in taking steps towards living your own set of dreams and desires, visit my web site at www.spalutions.com for more information on how we can work together. I am also offering two upcoming classes that may be of help. "Turning Your Vision into Reality" on September 11, 2007 at the Greensboro Central Library from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. please call me for details or to register. Also, I will be in Orlando, Florida on October and at the IECSC where I will hold a workshop entitled Goal Setting for Career & Personal Success. Take this moment to make a promise to yourself to live your own truth and become the person you are really meant to be. You deserve it and the world will be a better place for your efforts!
