What is your reality?

"Whatever I hold to be true in my mind becomes, literally becomes my truth out in the world." Another quote from "Conversations with the Spirit World..."  So what do you hold in your mind? Is it worry, guilt, love, compassion, greed or bitterness? Do you think about the world and life in a generally optimistic or pessimistic way? Does your life seem to have the same tone to it?

Some of my friends have told me I am too nice, that I only see the good in people, that my heart is too big. And while that is a hindrance in business at times, i think it is a perspective that serves me well. I have good relationships with people overall, like nearly everyone I come in contact with and get a lot of positive energy from others. At times, my openness has subjected me to hurt or pain, but more often than not I feel it has allowed me to experience the best life and people have to offer.

If you are on the other side of the coin and tend to be more cynical or negative, ask yourself how that is making your life better or serving your higher purpose. Is it keeping you from getting hurt or merely shutting off possibilities? Is your negative self-talk making you feel better about yourself or helping you to achieve what you really want out of life?

I'm not out to save the world, but rather to challenge your perspective on life and encourage you to heal what is broken inside your heart, mind and spirit. Take one step toward that end today by simply acknowledging and showing gratitude for the positive things that you experience today. If you can write them down or share them with a friend or spouse, that is even better. See how you feel after looking back at your day and all the good things that happened. I'll bet you'll find yourself doing the same exercise again tomorrow
